"D.C. Follies"

Whilst going through old TV Guides, I come across a listing for this TV show. All that I remember is that it was syndicated, in the late 80's, featuring puppet versions of famous politicians like the Reagans (in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the same kin were employed in the "Land of Confusion" music video by Genesis). Since I didn't really "get" the show the few times I caught it on TV years ago, can anyone remember if it was a decidedly left-wing or right-wing show? And would such a show on broadcast TV in that age be, say, "taboo"?

...I seem to recall this was a Sid & Marty Krofft attempt to make an American version of Spitting Image, then one of the highest-rated TV series in the United Kingdom...

It was neither right or left wing. It made fun of just about anyone, left, right or non-political.

It was a very funny show, and I believe episodes are available on Hulu.

And I.I.N.M., it was hosted by Fred Willard.

The puppet representations of various political figures, I recall, looked less grotesque than those on Spitting Image. Nor was it as "biting."
