D.H.T. on Wired

Wired 96.5 is currently spinning "Listen To Your Heart" every ninety minutes. (Another [welcome] departure from what everybody thought this station was going to be.)

I haven't yet heard them play the song. My question is: Are they playing the ballad version or one of the remixes?

Thanks.

Can't confirm this for myself, but a friend who listens to Wired and Q all day says she has only heard the ballad version.

Re: D.H.T. on Wired//WELL, THAT'S DUMB!

Kinda odd for a station that bills itself as a Rhythmic CHR while playing mostly Urban CHR.

The ballad version seems more suitable for Mainstream CHR and Adult Contemporary. It'll be interesting to hear it sandwiched between 50 Cent and Ludacris.

Now you see why Philly corporate radio HATES dance music! (And this is why people like me and other dance fans suffer.)

Even on a Friday night at 7pm...Q102 plays DHT but the candlelight version! I'm like...WTF?!?! It's the weekend! You need up-tempo stuff! (I guess they won't pick up that Michael Gray song "The Weekend" either.)

Go to 94.5 PST...they play the up-tempo version that's supposed to be played!

WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO GET SOME DANCE MUSIC ON PHILLY RADIO

Has Q102 started playing the regular dance version of "Listen To Your Heart" yet? (They're playing the ballad version as well.)

If not, Philly radio's current avoidence of dance music ticks me off to no end. Their not giving the dance version of "Listen" is an opprtunity missed. Why are they so afraid of dance music? Are they so afraid that if they play anything faster than a human heartbeat that the station walls will crumble like Sodom and Germorah? Everyday setting up a dance pirate radio station is looking more attractive. >:-(

Re: WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO GET SOME DANCE MUSIC ON PHILLY RADIO

I don't know whether I've heard the dance version on Q102 outside of the mix shows. They have been walking a very fine line between rhythmic and mainstream as they struggle to be "all things to all 18-to-34-year-old females."

I guess the ballad version tests better? Seems kinda strange as the ballad version is about as fascinating as hearing Britney Spears sing a capella.
