DAB+ a hit in Australia

Everything your friend is true for the UK too, but beware, everyone on the UK boards is complaining about the same thing as on the SiriusXM boards: they ARE reducing quality in exchange for quantity, like monauralizing stereo channels.
The land down under has VAST areas where the only radio they can hear is AM at night or domestic shortwave, but about 90-95% of the people live within the four largest pop centers.

I have read that DAB is not exactly a huge hit in Britain either. Many people are up in arms about the cut off date and it keeps getting moved up. I think the attitude there is the same as it is here: Why fix something that doesn't need to be fixed?

Analogue works finely untill people discover something better.
I would never want to return to earlier technology, no matter how well it worked for me.
