Dads (what was FOX thinking)?

Even in current times - when some of the best television in history is being written and produced - the occasional clunker slips through on all networks.

I decided to watch Sean Hayes' new sitcom the other night. Truly awful. The producers probably remembered his broad over-the-top comedy in Will & Grace and decided he should headline a show. But the writing and direction is sub-par.

Seriously?

I do like Martin Mull. And the Asian girl. And the housekeeper. It's good enough for me top keep watching but not good enough for me to really like.

They have ordered a full season of this show.

I watched episode 1 and a bit of episode 2, but was not impressed. Lame jokes, of which most we've heard before.

They were thinking "Let's make Seth happy so he keeps making Family Guy". I gather Seth wants to move on to other projects (I think he's even said as much) but Fox has no desire to lose Family Guy because they have such a hard time finding new animated shows to fill the voids. How many shows did it take before they found Bob's Burgers?
