Daily News article on Ron Lundy

Cousin Brucie is right, Ron is one class act! My prayers are with him and his wife.

1010 WINS' Ted David had broken the news about "Ron Lundy's failing health" on a New York-based radio message board. There are dozens and dozens of well wishes from colleagues and listeners alike wishing Lundy a speedy recovery... and I shall do the same, here, as well!

he was my 'friend'(when I needed one) coming outta my transistor radio, every day of my teen years in the 1960s; we wish him all the best, much strength and God's good grace...

Ron Lundy was as good as it could be. I loved his voice

:) I had the pleasure of meeting Ron Lundy in the 90's I used to listen to him on wabc and then on wcbsfm :) I heard about his illness :( I hope he gets Better and I am praying for him. Ron always put a Smile on my face!!! :) He is One Great Radio Legend!!! ;D

I am sorry to hear about Ron's health problem.
I use to listen to 77 WABC back in the 60's, even though I live in SW Pa.
I had the best time of my young life, when in 1968 my Grandparents took me on a Summer vacation to Brentwood, NY. I spent as much time as possible listening to WABC that Summer.
It was guys like Ron Lundy that made me decide to get into radio.
I have now been in this business, one way to another, for 31 years.
I wish Ron all the best.

Just heard the news about Ron Lundy. I just wanted to say that I was one of those WABC "Radio Groupies" back in the 70's and my radio's never left 77 WABC. Each and every DJ on WABC had their own style and Ron Lundy signing on every day with "Hello Love" will always be something that I will never stop hearing in my head. Always happy, upbeat and full of positive energy. Well Ron I am sending that positive energy back to you and so are your thousands of faithful listeners and friends. "Willard The Duck" Too Quack Quack :D I'm sure that "King" George Michael is looking down from up above and saying "Hey Ron you get well and beat this" You do just that Ron, beat this!!! Lots of Love and Prayers are sent to you for a speedy recovery!
