The Rebranding took place on May 23rd,

Dakota Broadcasting has been in operation in Aberdeen South Dakota, serving the greater northeast area, for the past 12 years and now the company has moved into a new era.

Since its founding Dakota Broadcasting has operated two 100,000 watt radio stations including Dakota 105.5 and 107.7 KABD FM. Dakota 105.5 plays some of the best country music throughout history, while also exploring its own unique sound while 107.7 KABD FM pleased everyone with its mix of hits from the 80s, 90s and today.

To keep up with an ever changing market and to continue to remain a leader in entertainment, sports and information across the listening area, Dakota Broadcasting has rebranded these two stations. Beginning Memorial Day weekend Dakota 105.5 will now be known as 105.5 Maverick FM “Country With a Kick”, and 107.7 KABD FM will be known as 107.7 The Shark “Killer Hits.”
