Dale Duff out at WZON?

I heard a rumor today that the WZON morning show was scrapped in favor of Mike & Mike.....Any truth to this and is their afternoon show still in place? I would have axed the afternoon show first then the morning institution that is Dale Duff in the Morning.

Between this and 103.1 ditching the voicetracked AAA format in favor of a WZON simulcast, looks like Stephen King is sick of losing money on his radio properties.

I find this very hard to believe, for a number of reasons.

1. There goes the local presence in the morning. Whether you believe that's relevant or not, it goes against SOP for saving money.
2. An hour of M and M? Sure. 4? Who will listen to that?
3. Stephen King has more money than he knows what to do with. Especially now that he doesn't have to bid on UMO contracts.
4. Duff got the 'ZON ball rolling 15+ years ago. He's not my favorite guy on that station (Hi, Jeff!) but people seem to like him and he's part of the heritage.
