In regards to some comments made about others in this media,it comes with the territory. Who wouldn't want things sugar coated? I do agree some comments are a tad bit personal with the variety of colorful metaphors sprinkled in, however if you ever worked in a studio,.you know its very common language being used. Let me reemphasize, you had to work in a studio to understand, not an AE or a coat and tie desk jockey. They certainly are not going to warp your day or place the globe in overdrive spinning out of control. If it does you are in the wrong business, and should look into missionary work. If you disagree with someone ( gee like that doesn't happen) here, then simply state why, without calling your adversary (whom you most likely never met, without calling him/her/whatever )a name, it only lowers your profile,if it hasn't been lowered enough working in todays'alleged radio". I wouldn't call negative comments, jealous, envious, etc. only stating the obvious. The way things are ran in a station now and have been ran in the past 5 years alone state that the PD's, GM's bow to a corporate office who doesn't know about the regional area except it shows that the station is owned by them and a map to find it. They stripped down the station and placed it with a watered down product that has gotten soggy with meldew, and if they can get some schmoe to buy their embellished speil and advertise on it, then thats all they care about . Programming is a label without substance. So those who praise the virture of "today's radio" <sic> obviouslly never have worked in what was radio.
