Dallas and Portland

Has anyone else noticed the following:

Dallas:
99.5 The Wolf (Cumulus)
Movin 107.5 (CBS)

Portland:
99.5 The Wolf (Entercom)
Movin 107.5 (CBS)

Are there any more matching names with freq. among various cities. How about 3 or 4 matches...not just 2 as in the above?

Just goes to show you how BLAND everything is in Radio. SAMNESS everywhere.

And the congregation and choir replied, "Amen, brotha'"

It's the old philosophy "crap in, crap out". If you hire
crap, get consulted by crap, run your operation
like crap, you get crap. Sounds like a job for Mike
Rowe on Dirty Jobs.

Birmingham shares one station slogan and frequency (Kiss 98.7) with NYC. Interestingly enough, while both have the same format (urban AC), they're owned by two different companies, neither of which is CC.

At one point, the markets had two more in common. Birmingham's 100.5 was known as Z100 until 4/05 when it was purchased by and merged with its competition, and both WQEN and WAXQ were simply Q104 before expanding their slogans to include their full (different) frequencies.

The Rome, GA and Columbus/Lagrange, GA markets each have a Sunny 100 on 100.1. Different formats, different owners, but both about the same distance from me. It usually takes a while to figure out which one decided to come in here that day.

Portland seems to copy everything. The CHR is "Z100", same as "Z100" in NYC. Same jingle package and all.

At least the MOViN in Portland has a website.....

Like I said, at least Portland has a website.

The http://www.movin1075fm.com/ webpage has been changed into Dallas' MOViN. Check out the small white sky scrape background.

What a website!!!! :D Apparently they're copying Cox's mentality. Make ALL the stations the same mundane website format.

CBS=Cheap Broadcasting System

Everytime I click on the link, I still get Portland's MOViN...

That's weird. Everytime I clicked on www.movin1075fm.com, it still went to Portland's website..... Until I clicked the refresh button....
