Holy cow! @pjc1961 has 1310 ever been #1 in the market on both the beauty pageant and 18-49? I don't recall an instance where this has previously happened.

Very interesting, albeit very erratic numbers this month. However, I'm curious about the KTCK listenership. I wonder if their listeners are mostly listening in the car in areas where KTCK-FM would have better car reception than building reception, or if there's actually a healthy amount of people under 50 actually using AM to listen to the station.

It really is amazing a station in 2023 can be #1 with a rimshot FM signal and an AM signal. Shouldn't that combination hurt you a little bit?

Someone said maybe KTCK is getting its great ratings thanks to streaming. But KTCK's streaming ratings aren't listed. A number of streaming ratings are listed: KCBI, KRLD-AM, KRLD-FM, KMVK. But no one's streaming is worth more than a .3.

And it's also amazing that KTCK-AM-FM is #1 in 6+, #1 25-54 and tied for #1 18-49. Yet the other Dallas sports station, KRLD-FM where the Rangers season is just underway, is nowhere in the demo rankings. It's tied for #19 in the 6+ race.

Meanwhile after a few up books, KEGL, with its combination of Hot Talk and Sports, has dropped to #27. What makes KTCK so special?

No, this is the first time KTCK has ever been #1 in 25-54.

When KTCK's stream was listed separately (the Stream was combined with the AM/FM listening effective Oct. 2020), it reached as high as a 1.0 share... granted it didn't account for much cume, but The Ticket is built on TSL anyway.

What Huff is describing is Total Line Reporting (TLR) where an owner can decide if simulcast services are listed all together or separately. For sales, this is a no-brainer as combined numbers can push you up in ranking.

To qualify for TLR, stations and streams must be 100% identical, including ads. Services and streams may be separated for a small number of monthly hours to accommodate "no stream" dictates for sports play by play and similar features.

I had no idea the numbers of the KTCK stream were combined with the terrestrial numbers, that probably explains a lot!

Looks like the honeymoon for KVIL has ended. Still far better than their darkest days when a flip seemed imminent. Maybe KTCK is taking some of those listeners away as well.

KLUV is #3 6+, but nowhere to be found otherwise. Had things gone the way I thought they would (and may have been planned to go), Audacy would have had a positive, encouraging answer to that problem.

Why don’t more and/or all station do this?

So is 97.1 going after 105.3? I don’t see Krld in top 10 in any demos anymore

Many stations run different ads on the stream. This is in part due to the way AFTRA/SAG charges clients for voiceovers on agency spots run on stations where agencies don't want to pay the added fees. It can also be due to the owner selling streamed content separately, meaning that the stations don't qualify for SLR.

Uhhhhhh how about its an entertaining radio station that connects well with its target demo. It has been doing that for the past 28 years.
