DaMN Claims Radio Writer

The Dallas Morning News has hired a free-lancer to cover radio. His name is Spencer Michlin. He has an article in the Overnight section of this morning's paper.

Not bad...

From the article:

"We listen to our listeners," says KESS general manager Frank Carter. "We're constantly making grassroots efforts to determine how we can be relevant to the community we serve."

What a novel idea... hmmm... pay attention to what the listeners want...<P ID="signature">______________

It's actually ERM. The tip off will be when the reporting takes on a poetic flair, radio rhyming couplets.

It's good to see some sort of radio columnist back in the DMN -- but he still clearly does have a bit to learn. I noticed that article incorrectly placed KZZA's transmitter site in Cedar Hill, which is about a 65 mile mistake.

Been called many things, but never Churchillian. That may be the kindest reference yet.
