"The End" sounded really good when he was the program director there. Radio One should never had blown it up. All of the dj's really sounded good. It's good he got out of the radio when he did. It's gotten so much worse.
 
No...Number One Son was the night guy....Dan was the program director and I think he was on during the day.
 
Did "The End" make money? It was nowhere as well produced as Buzzard "NexGen", nor was the talent as good. And I believe Clear Channel, pre Jacor merger, owned WENZ. It spun if off to Radio One as part of the Jacor purchase. So really, Radio One, who is not an alternative rock company, got the station in a spin-off. Radio One being of course the much used minority company that CCU spins off too...got an under performing station who's signal was stronger in East Cleveland than the west 'burbs that are home to alt rock fanz. Eastside??? Not so much a hotbed for alt rock. More like 40s, doo rags and Lincoln's with white walls. A R&B/Hip Crap station was the logical choice.
