I think you're right. He has a contract. He can't just quit. They will hold him to it.

Also there's no such thing as "body sovereignty." Courts won't acknowledge it.

I can see the publicity stunt aspect, but that would seem to have to end with Mary Berner issuing a statement saying, "never mind, come spread Covid in our facilities to your heart's content. Be sure to give a couple of extra coughs on the microphone". I don't see a public backtrack to please Bongino, and they could lose employees who are not right wing talk show hosts.

I agree. They won't say anything. This is showbiz. He'll change the subject in a few days, and throw out a different slice of red meat. After that everyone will forget about it, just as they forgot about the last time Cumulus issued a mandate. (In case you're keeping track, this is the third one in 2021.)

He's doing it because he can. Fox News won't let their employees pee in their own pool.

Plus while he's getting all this publicity, and attracting new listeners, he's also attracting new affiliates for his show. Cumulus benefits from all of this. I wouldn't be surprised if Bongino cleared it with them before it began.

My thought exactly. This is a daily rant, not just an offhand comment. If they found it harmful they would have demanded he stop it or suspended him. I'll bet they're in on it.

The Daily Beast notes that Bongino was notably silent about the vaccine policy adopted by his other media partners at Fox Corp. Bongino hosts a Saturday night talk show on Fox News and his radio show is live streamed by Fox Nation. Fox Corp.’s policy requires employers to provide proof of vaccination or undergo daily COVID-19 testing.

It does not say directly but he is partnered with Fox News according to the link.
