Alexandra Cameron, sales leader at Emmis-New York, has been named Senior Vice President/General Manager of the Emmis/New York cluster. She replaces Dan Halyburton, a Texas native who led the cluster (Hot 97, WQHT-FM; Kiss FM, WRKS-FM; and 101.9, WRXP-FM) since May of 2006 and has decided to return to Dallas to launch a media technology company.

I didn't even know he'd left Susquehanna/Cumulus!

He left Susquehanna/Cumulus a LONG time ago.

Will be best remembered by some in the cluster for letting Terry Dorsey move to KSCS by not being willing to give Dorsey about a $10-20 thousand annual salary increase.

My old radio buddy Dan just got caught up with the typical nonsense of Rick Cummings and Emmis shoving bad radio programming down his throat. I'm surprised Dan didn't bail on that one earlier. Ha, you think the PD's have no say so - try the GM's.

What a great guy! He gave me my first job in radio in Dallas.
