Dan Hentschel, who had worked in Northwest Arkansas for decades and helped put KMCK on the map has died at 72. He kept working until the end despite being eligible for retirement for several years. Around 2000-01, he spent a year or so in Texarkana but otherwise worked in Northwest Arkansas and Ft. Smith since at least the late 80’s.
He was a native of the Kansas City area who went to college in Arkansas and got hooked on radio.
