Dan Ingram

Has anyone heard anything about Dan Ingram? I know he occassionally makes appearances on WABC's Saturday night oldies show, but I'd sure love to hear him do an airshift at CBS-FM or somewhere. Just part time would be fine just so we could hear him again.

I think it is safe to say that Dan Ingram has retired. He did one radio greats show on a Sunday night for WCBS-FM, but that was some time ago. The best we can hope for is an interview with Mark Simone on a future Saturday Night Oldies show.

If true, that's a shame. I miss Dan's talented wit very much.

Andrea - according to the database compiled on the Yahoo SNO board, the last time Dan Ingram appeared was August 30, 2008.

People usually retire when they get older. Dan Ingram is only human. This is 2009, not 1969.

I understand he can retire. My point was it would be nice to hear Dan do an occassional appearance.
He clearly loved his craft. In any event, best wishes to him.

Zacherle (regular host of WPIX's Chiller Theater in the '60s, one-shot host of same - in HD, no less - in October 2008) would beg to differ... ;D

(Heck, he did Halloween night on WCBS-FM in 2007, too...)

Even in 2009 Dan Ingram would sound better than 90% of the oldies DJs.
