Dan Lewis' son Tim joins KOMO4

Great story, great video, but come on, does anyone think if he wasn't Dan's son he would have gotten the job? Maybe, but I am just posing the question....

The only thing that surprised me was him calling "Jesus Montero,"---"Miguel Montero"---that IS a major boo-boo---getting a Mariners player's name wrong....YIKES!!! I'm sure it was first day jitters or something....I would be nervous as well...no doubt about it!!

And it continues! Tim And Dan Lewis! Rick and Lisa Van Cise, and of course before, Harry and Andy Woppler!

Makes me think of how cool it would have been to have worked with my dad--Jack Hemingway on the radio together, but he passed away when I was 16.....and he never got to hear me on the radio, it was shortly after his passing that I got my first job at "The Golden 800-KQIN." Bittersweet for me!

With Rick and Lisa Van Cise, it makes me wonder why KING doesn't hire Rick to be the weekend morning co-anchor. That show really drags at times, as Meg Coyle doesn't quite have the gravitas to carry it by herself.

JJ, I was a big fan of your dad's work and wish I could have heard you on air together. I get called every so often to fill in at Belo and was thrilled the time I did weather on NWCN and Lisa had the duty for KING 5. Working side by side doesn't get any better for a proud papa, as I'm sure my friend Dan Lewis can confirm.

Hey RIck--thanks for your kind words...there have been sooooooo many times I wish my dad had been around when I got started in the biz. Probably would be working in Seattle, rather than in Spokane, and I'm in the process of relocating to Bismarck---a really nice offer to program and do mornings for a good group there....Bismarck reminds me of a smaller Spokane, very clean city and the people there that I will be working with are so very nice. So it will be a good move, the winters can be brutal and that may take a little getting used to!!

Rick, even though I now live in Phoenix, you're definitely one of my favorite Seattle broadcasters!

These last two friendly posts make my day, thanks. Reminds me of the first person to call with support when I was “reassigned”… none other than the clown, Wedes. Missing him big time.
Hey JJ... show 'em how it's done in Bismarck! Best, -RV

Hey Rick---thanks for your kind words and you SHOULD be on full time on a Seattle channel...that's the way it should be for sure....maybe someone will wake up, smell the coffee and make it so!!!
