Does anyone know what the "big news" is for the DP Show on Monday? I came across a press release from March 2009 that said he agreed to a new reality show that covers his radio show and beyond. I'm guessing that could be it. The crew also cut new promos a few months ago but they never mentioned anything after that. Makes sense to me but who knows?

Can't believe you missed it.. It was a HUGE development...
First they updated the poll results
Then Dan called on his cast of morons one at a time like a school teacher

OH WAIT, then Dan had a great interview where he asked about himself and made the interview about him...

I use to really really like DP's show, but man its just become the same thing over and over every single day. Too predictable... Sorry I know that wasn't the point of your post but I would assume that it was something rather underwhelming given where the show has gone the last 6 months...

Going back to his ESPN Radio days, I've always found Dan Patrick to be quite boring. Didn't mind him on TV.
The big announcement (seriously):
His radio show's TV simulcast on DirecTV will be fed to Fox Sports Net and Comcast's regional sports netlets (three of which are owned by DirecTV) starting on October 25.

what you refer to as enjoyable predictability I consider a lack of creativity....
All of sports radio is formulaic and "predictable."

230 radio stations and a tv simulcast in 85 million homes. for a show lacking creativity, they seem to be doing something right.
fisttimelongtime: They obviously have a great name in DP. And yes from a marketing perspective doing very well.
But have you truly given it a listen recently? Its stale and horribly predictable. My point is I expect more from a show that started out as strong as it did. I feel like DP doesn't put the work into the show he once did.
