Dan Scott no longer on "The Score"

Dan Scott, who has been a radio host for many years in the Upstate, eventually expanding across the state to Charleston with his show on local radio, has been let go again after only a couple months on The Score, a local sports talk show in the Upstate.

Here are his words from his Facebook:

On a totally different note, The Score has new ownership as of late last week. I was informed that I wasn't in the new owner's plans. So I'm no longer on the show.

I appreciate them shooting straight with me and not stringing me along. Not enough of that in this business.

New ownership, welcome to your first BOOB! You just let go one of the best Sportscasters to ever crack a Mic. In upstate Radio there are two DS's: Dann "Uncle Scottie" Scott,...along with (the late) Bill Walker, he was one of the best 7p-12m announcers ever.
The other DS...is Dan Scott, Sportscaster, Sports Historian, Diehard Reds fan, and Bar-B-Que Analist. The man don't guess...He Knows!
Scooter Lesley.

Dan Scott fans can still hear him on the radio Monday nights through baseball season with the "Ron Smith Coaches Show" live from Wild Wing Cafe in Greenville. It airs 6-7p on 103-3 Spin FM and YAHOO! Sports Radio 910. Plus, upcoming Furman vs. SC and Clemson games which will also are on the two. Best wishes 'til the next Dan Scott adventure in broadcasting takes to the air!
