Dan Sorkin dies

According to several posts on the San Francisco board former Chicago air personality Dan Sorkin passed away a few days ago. For those that may be too young to remember, Sorkin was a very popular morning host on WCFL from the late 50s until the mid 60s when he moved to the west coast.
He was instrumental in giving Bob Newhart his start in comedy and was the announcer on Newhart's first TV show in 1961.

Sorkin's morning show in Chicago was wonderful and his sense of humor was marvelous.
