Dan Spindle GONE!

tvjobs.com is reporting that Dan Spindle is gone from Fox 10. Indeed, his bio has been removed from the Fox 10 website. I guess I'll have to see who's anchoring tomorrow morning. Syleste Rodriguez, perhaps???

That is a big disappointment. I liked the pairing of Dan and Britt. I wonder if they are going to set up two entirely new hosts now because a pairing of Syleste and Britt wouldn't work IMHO.

It seemed strange. Kristen K. still seems a bit stiff on-air - as she did when she filled in for Rick on the morning show some weeks ago. And Britt didn't have the enthusiasm she displayed when Dan was her partner.

I just hate it when this happens!

I agree. Kirsten K was also stiff when subbing for Marc Martinez on the weekend pm news a few weeks ago. Just strange that Dan left during the sweeps period (although I know that it doesn't mean as much these days)!

Anyone who knows where he has gone let us know. This is the first time I have been disappointed by news coming out of Fox 10. I thought he did a great job no matter who they paired him up with. I sure hope he doesn't go to that awful Channel 12.

Celeste Rodriquez's contract with KPNX was not renewed. It's not like they offered her a new contract and she bolted for the street and that yellow VW.

Of course, Syleste didn't have a non-compete, but Fox 10 did run a rather funny commercial (which essentially rubbed it in 12's face).

Good to hear that Syleste is finding a niche!

This points out the benefit that 3 and 10 have: they can have someone report on a story for 5.5 hours, as opposed to the other stations where the newscast is only 2.5 hours and the reporters have to talk twice as fast.

Looks like Fox10 blew up the weekend morning show and we lost two good people.

So, they finally hired the morning anchor that they had posted for months? Excellent choice, I believe! I'm going to make ABC15 my 6:30-7am choice, GMA my 7-7:20am choice, and then join GMAZ from 7:20-7:45am. I have a very complex am news routine!
