Dan "The Duke" Davis' final day today

amen. a real pro.

one of the great voices and real personalities that made ESPN radio so special in the early 90's.

his humor, time with tony k and even his willingness recently to read hip hop lyrics with rusillo were highlights for me.

a true radio giant and one of the few remaining great talents at ESPN radio or anywhere else. Glad to got to retire on his own terms rather than have Disney force him out like most of the hacks they have on the air.

I'm not saying I thought Tony Kornheiser's show was perfect- far from it.

But when "The Duke" and Tony were on the air there was a sense of professionalism to that show that was absent before and since.

Yep now you have to listen to Cowherd insult listeners for ratings.
