Dan York lawsuit

My neighbor works at the projo. He told me Friday that some guy name Bob Burke who has a Providence resturant, is suing WPRO and Dan York over false comments York made about him and his business. Is this libel or slander? Something about comments made last year on St Paddy's day, and a lunch held there. Anyone see this yet? Is this why he was moved from afternoon? I guess Burke claims he lost his catering hall because of it.
 
I do not know anything about a lawsuit. However, I know Bob Burke and he has a bristol reputation in the food and beverage business. This guy is one first class operator. If he has indeed filed a suit, beleive me it's serious. This man is first rate. If there has been a lawsuit filed, it's public record and would be listed with the court. My next question (if there is indeed a lawsuit) who is representing Mr. Burke? That will tell me a lot.
 
I remember hearing this portion of the show a year ago and for the life of me cannot understand why Bob Burke would bring suit. I guess the saying is true, you can sue a Peanut Butter Sandwich for sticking to the roof of your mouth.
By the way, what the hell is a bristol reputation!?!
 
Oh this one is good. Sounds like a lawsuit that willl go nowhere. It will be interesting to see what happens. Dan is probably just pissed off that he is going to get dragged into court and have to deal with this crap. Everybody has a thin skin these days. When the hell did that happpen anyway? Now people look for the smallest excuse to Sue. It's just sad. Oh well. Life goes on.

I was wondering the same thing -- all I could come up with was a "Tony Bristol Reputation" which probably isn't much better
