Dan Yorke confuses listeners Again! STATION FIRE.

I personally like Dan. He is a good family man and in person , is very kind.
On the radio side, once again I find myself wondering if he's lost it.
Last week Yorke was LOSSING HIS MIND over a State Senator Long not paying , as of yet, his taxes on a Dells Lemonade stand, thats right , a Lemonade stand.
On Thursday Channel 12 WPRI tv drops the Bomb about the Station Fire and the Fire Marshall.
Basic story is , the Fire Marshall , when spoken to, by the Rhode Island State Police, told a mistruth regarding his inspection of 'The Station'. Futher, he gave the Station PERMISSION to dramatically increase the amount of people allowed in. From 317 to 404.
This is a story on the SUNDAY PRO JO front page.
Well Yorke did everything to tell his listeners Marshal Larocque should be given a PASS.
Call after call, listeners triing to explain why if anyone has blame , it's Larocque.
Dan Yorke Literally 'making fun' of those callers and just blowing them off.
" It's the government." " State officials have protections" " Let it go".
Well isn't Talk Radio where people voice their outrage about those things to change them?
100 people burned to death in that fire.

Any of us know a talk host should try and take an 'unusual' stand to make people think and draw listeners.
This is way different, this is about a host who is too often DISCONNECTED from his audience.
We in radio lost people VERY dear to us.
THIS IS PERSONAL.
Someone at WPRO should sit down and explain to Dan, if his Heart is still in New Jersy, and not Rhode Island, maybe he should be working there.
 
But don't forget how this is personal for Yorke also.
He's good buddies with the attorney general Pat Lynch and the West Warwick town solicitor Tim Williamson.
Both Lynch and Williamson would like this terrible Station fire to go away ASAP for their own political reasons.
That was also Yorke's take with the trial, the gross negligence of the fire inspector et al make the Station fire and all its' baggage just go away ASAP.
A rather odd take for a radio talk show host don't you think??
Agree completely that Yorke made a fool of himself with his overreaction to the Long story but that's Dan's MO.
You can't get Dan to go ballistic with the power Democrats in RI despite the corruption going on all around us but he will put a scorned ex-wife of a House Rep on the air then calls the governor of the state "pathetic" because the governor doesn't go crazy over her unproven allegations. Yorke actually tried to compare Long's situation with that of Beacon Mutaul, a workers comp company whose former management is under indictment.
Danny has "issues". Just look at the company he keeps. As the saying goes...'you are who you associate with'.
 
Tim Williamson is the W.W. town Lawyer? Can't be!
I called the Police in W. Warwick and spoke to a Sargent. He told me that was true!
Let me get this straight, REP. Williamson, W.W. town Lawyer Williamson, Casino shoved down R.I. thoart Williamson. The Williamson who threw the Governors Aids head threw a window! And this guy is Yorkes beer drinking buddy?God, no wonder we aren't getting the true story! :mad:
Dan Yorke is one step away from a BOY COTT.
If Rhode Islanders can't trust Yorke on the Station Fire! God.
Dave Kane works at PRO. Kane lost an 18 yr old SON at that fire. Isn't it only fair to bring Dave on with Yorke for an hour or two?
The Air needs to be cleared in that studio. MR. Kane would be the perfect choice. Walter. :(
 
Dan is just a guy who thinks he has more Power than he really does. So he tries to throw his weight around. So take him with a grain of salt and you won't get to upset. It's just a Radio Show. Listen and enjoy.
 
Skynet, I am drawing the line about Yorke, when it comes to the Station Fire.
This is just TOO serious a subject for Yorke to be playing games with
I think you have to live in R.I. to understand, but I understand your point.
