Dan Yorke dropped the ball.

I have been accused of being a lacky for the Dan Yorke show. So , here we go. Dan showed today (June1) that he doesn`t know how to take advantage of something HANDED to him. We know 36 PBS pulled Lively Ex. because of Yorke threating to sue Guy Dufault. Today Yorke could have ripped into them when he did a remote at Guys event. For 3 hours he let Dufault , Rep. Williamson, Union head Frank Montanro, ect rant -speak- scream for now 3 hours!!! Yorke ,dropped the ball, sad to say . He let himself be used. It pains me to say this but, John Depetro would have had a 'Field Day' with these con artists. Yorke ,I feel is too much an entertainer, not anywhere near enough a watch dog. I think these 'Union Types' intimidate Dan. I am SO dissapointed in Dan . So dissapointed.

It was awful programming! It was boring programming, I tuned out.
Several Hours of free airtime for the unions, ugh.
Station management should send a bill for all the publicity.

What was the point??? It was a knockout for the unions!

Chatty, we agree on this 100%.
Boy do we miss Johnny DePetro around here.
Arlene used to have an edge but she's off on Pluto these days.
Her choice of topics seem to be dictated by the stations affiliation
with Air America.
Kass is very topical with his show but he has no gas left in the tank.
What kills me about Yorke is he never goes after the bad guys around here.
He'll spend hours beating up the governor for something, knowing the gov
is a gentleman and won't tell him to screw, but he never goes after
those who've ruined our state with the same amount of zeal or time spent.
Today was a field day for the unions and their hate speech courtesy of
Dan Yorke. Unbelievable!

Did he have much control over this though? I tuned in on the way home at 5PM for the news & he made a snide comment on how it was a management decision to pre-empt the 5 o'clock news for the live broadcast. It didn't sound like he was happy about it. Then there was something about some union members beating drums close to him & I tuned into HJJ for the news. It was all out of context so I don't know what kinds of comments he made before & after but he didn't seem like a happy camper.
 
I also found the many union ads on PRO quite interesting Alan.
And it's not over yet. One of Yorke's guests on Friday (he's off tomorrow)
is the head of the state teacher union.
I don't know what's going on with him or that station but all this sudden
heavy union activity does not smell right.
PRO has some 'splaining to do.
