DAN YORKE GETS PRESS IN THE PHOENIX & RI MONTHLY

Some good articles about Dan Yorke in both the current issue of RI Monthly & also the Providence Phoenix. I saw the RI Monthly one briefly in a doctor's office but really didn't get a chance to read it all the way through. It was written by Jim Taricani. If you don't want to spring for the RI Monthly one, The Phoenix is free & is a different article completely.
 
Yorke is out of control obnoxious lately.
Lack of talk programming choice in the afternoon has gotten so bad I'm listening to sports talk more often these days.
Tedious to listen to Yorke's obsessive hit list of a select few he goes after incessantly while he tosses a few beers with the villains in the legislature.
It's so sad to see what's become of local talk radio in RI.
So so depressing!!
 
I wonder what kind of a coincidence it is that two publications would do stories on Yorke? The magazine & newspaper are obviously not competing with each other. You would expect these stories more when there's some heated talk radio competition as opposed to what's going on now.
 
Yorke is stale. I'm no longer interested in taking part in these personal gripes he has. Unfortunately he's the only valid choice for talk in the general area. So I've resorted to tuning in WOR, WINS and Sirius Radio depending on my mood. But to be honest I haven't given WHJJ a listen in a long time. So for all I know maybe I would like what I hear. I honestly keep forgetting it's an option whenever I scan around the dial. I keep thinking the station died when Depetro left.
