AllAccess reported that Red 104.1 morning host Dana Daniels has left. They say the reason being is it possibly "could have something to do with a station sale, and that RED may cease to exist as early as the beginning of next week."<P ID="signature">______________

It doesn't seem to be much secret anymore that the sale of Red to Radio One is pending, and that the station will likely flip to some sort of an urban format as soon as next week. Lots more on this at stlmedia.net.

Red Alert?...How about "Rhythmic Alert!"

It looks like All Access has confirmed on its website today(September 26th) that WRDA has been sold to Radio One for $20 million and that the format will move to the web and KFTK on weekends.

Meanwhile, speaking of Radio One, you may want to mark October 1st on your calendar. Thats when they unveil their Rhythmic Top 40 format at 104.1, putting them in direct competition with KSLZ(Z-107.7).

Re: Red Alert?...How about "Urban AC Alert!"

Doesn't Radio One already have a hip-hop station in St. Louis??

A more likely format for 104.1 might be Urban AC.

"Urban AC Alert!"....They already filled that position!

Actually, their current Adult R&B property in St.Louis, WFUN, WAS the R&B/Hip-Hop outlet up until last year(2004).

From what I hear in the Gateway City, they already set their sights on KSLZ, so expect this one to be a Rhythmic Top 40.
