Dana Marshall out at WAZY

This won't come as a huge shock to most of us on this board....
but it seems that Artsitic has let Dana Marshall go from WAZY. I saw it mentioned in another thread and his name has been removed from wazy.com

I say it shouldn't be a shock, because it happens to every talented person that walks thru an Artistic door.

Dana is a friend and former co-worker of mine. He is very talented. I did not get a chance to hear him or WAZY during his time as PD....

I think we can add Dana's name to the "I suggest you don't work for Artistic" group....and if you remember he was another one that thought he could change it.
 
Well, I can't say that I didn't see that coming. It seems like whenever they get a good PD in there that has good chops behind the mic, they decide to get rid of them around book time.

Was this departure a result of the recent book? If so, granted, this wasn't one of WAZY's best books, but even the most successful stations have a down book from time to time. AMP's reputation across the state probably wouldn't be as tainted if they didn't make such knee-jerk decisions.

Good luck on finding your next gig, Dana. Sorry your exit had to happen the way it did.
