Champaign's Q-96 which has been extremely friendly to dance music can now be heard anywhere! Go to www.wqqb.com and click on listen live and hear a well-balanced CHR that includes dance music and isn't afraid to open up the playlist on it. It's NOT dance-intensive, but very open to new dance hits and really sounds like what a CHR should sound like, including all types of hits, not just hip-hop and rock. It is also very old school jams friendly. Lunchtime is good for that and Friday and Saturday nights great for dance. They started streaming today at 3pm. Enjoy our radio station from the cornfields of Illinois!! It's a quality 67K stream. Feedback welcome! :)

Thanks for the tip ! I just checked out their official web site, and it really does look like a fun pop station. They should update their (month-old) 'Hit List' on there. I was checking it out for the dance hits that the're playing. I'll give the webstream a shot.I used to live very near Champaign (closer to Rantoul) at Chanute AFB for a few months some 21 years ago. I enjoyed my short time there.THE MAJOR

Not much, if any, dance listed on the playlist. Listen between 45 after the hour to the top of the hour and you'll hear dance. That seems to be when the regular dance hits show up every hour guaranteed. Other dance hits get scattered throughout the hour as either new music, old school dance or recurrent dance hits like "Hung Up" - Madonna. Q just does a great job of being well balanced, upbeat, fun CHR. The dance proves their dedication to "ALL the hits" not just certain genres. For Market #220, we are very, very lucky to have them on the air.
