Lets review:

Well we had a lot of songs from back in the day get a "Makeover", Courtesy of The Freemasons, Cabin Crew, Stunt, Lovefreekz, Uniting Nations, Eric Prydz, Sunset Strippers, Global Deejays, Mohito, D.O.N.S., Dancing DJs, Peter Presta, 2-4 Grooves, Cut Committee, Merchants Of Dance, etc, etc..

Speaking of which, wasn't it great to see Stevie Nicks, Eurythmics, Tiffany, Duran Duran, Bananarama, Judy Torres, Simply Red, Donna Summer and Jody Watley return to the spotlight?

There wasn't much cheesiness this year....save for Channing's "Bootsy Bootsy Boom" and Crazy Frog's "Axel F".

The Gorillaz, Scissor Sisters, Bodyrockers, The Killers and the Ceasars gave Dance fans something to rock to.

Just when you thought that Ciara, Kelly Clarkson, Ashlee Simpson, Rob Thomas, Rihanna, The Veronicas, Tegan & Sara, Better Than Erza, or any artist for that matter didn't fit the profile of a Dance performer, guess again...

Missy Elliot and The Black Eyed Peas still managed to prove that Hip-Hop acts haven't forgot their Dance roots....

....Speaking of which, who would ever think Alanis Morisette would get a little "Crazy"?

You can say it was a Stonebridge year...A DHT year....A Freemasons year...A Shape:UK year...A Kelly Osbourne year...A Marly year...A Kaskade year...A Sun year...A Mylo year...A Mynt year...A Johnathan Peters Presents Sylver Logan Sharpe year....A Cascada year...A Mike Rizzo Presents Allie year...A Narcotic Thrust year...A P'Cat Dolls Year...

Reflekt Featuring Deline Bass's "The Need To Feel Loved"...Nuff said!

The Cast Of "Rent", "Seasons Of Love"...See Reflekt.

Paris Hilton's "Screwed"...Great song. Too bad it got no love except at XM81.

Speaking of artists who got screwed, one has to wonder why Emma Bunton, who did well at Dance didn't do so well outside the genre, even with a great album.

The euro sound is alive and well, thanks to Infernal and Groove Coverage.

Even the "Feel Good" tracks got some notice thanks to Black Rock's "Blue Water", Dirty Laundry's "Calbria", Slinkee Minx's "Summer Rain" and Red Carpet's "Alright".

Madonna came back with a great album...

...But Mariah came back stronger, with remixes!

Speaking of divas, we had some strong talent in this department, with Reina, Kristine W. and Amber being joined by newcomers like Danielle Bollinger, Jenna Drey, Rachel Panay, Jenn Cunetta, Rachel Starr, Collette and Jennifer Green.

Lets not forget the guys, like Lucas Prata and Bryan Todd.

Not to mention the people behind the decks, thanks to Axwell, Robbie Rivera, Deep Dish, etc..

Well we did lose WQSX and WPYM, but we gained another "Diva"(WCDV/Baton Rouge), a "Beat" in Saginaw(WTBT), and (welcomed back) WDRE/Long Island after 3 disasterous months of Mainstream Top 40.

Speaking Dance on the radio, it looks like only place this format might headed is HD. Just ask WPOW/Miami, WRDW/Philadelphia, and WBBM/Chicago.

Then there's those stations who are warming up to Dance product again, courtesy of stations like WFHN/New Bedford and XHTO/El Paso, among them.

Satellite radio...well BPM still gets flamed on this board....as does The Beat..and so on...and so on...

Internet radio...overall they have shown who has the real love for Dance overall.

Thats my take. Any thoughts?
