TEJAS BROADCASTING Top 40/Rhythmic KBZD (PARTY 99.7)/AMARILLO has flipped to all-Christmas music and let go all but one programmer/on-air personality.

AMARILLO radio veteran JUSTIN TYME remains with TEJAS BROADCASTING. No word on where the format wheel will land for KBZD.

LOL that was a Hip Hop station.

Dance isn't dead just b/c it's being ignored by most of America's terrestrial airwaves, it's still alive and kickin.

Alot of website's list this station as a dance station . Maybe it was a little bit of both...like most Chr/R stations use to be .

The STATION is dead...NOT DANCE MUSIC!

Not for nothing but isn't the subject above a little misleading? It's about a station in Amarillo that frankly not a lot of us would have even known about. To say that this one station is the death of dance music is very misleading. Granted dance has been taking a licking as of late on the terrestrial side but you do have such stations as KNHC (Seattle), KNGY (San Francisco) and WDRE (Long Island) still pumping the music hard!

Tony, I'll be posting a list of virtual/net only Dance stations in the coming days both here and "elsewhere" ;) I'm sure you'll enjoy glancing over that, as it will include both Mainstream and Underground Dance stations.
If people on here will give me feedback on it I may also consider posting the full list of terrestrial Dance stations from around the globe that webcast :)

Speaking of KNGY - I was in San Francisco on Wednesday and I tuned in. I wasnt impressed with their playlist at all. I heard mostly the same songs that WLIR used to play at nights here on Andre's show. Same old Trance songs (ATB, Chicane, etc), some old Disco House, and current pop tunes thrown in. Hardly anything dance related from 2002 til now

Yes! They're a favorite of mine as well, and Armin's show (A State of Trance with Armin Van Buuren) airs there on Thursday.
