Dance music in commercials

I've seen an AT&T commercial but on the negative tip.....
It's the one with a guy stuck in a hostel (that would have received a call if he had an AT&T phone) with two guys and a boombox dressed "Eurotrash" to fast paced dance music with some Euro sounding names...known as "The Techno Twins".
That just perpetuates the "isn't dance techno?" ignorance.

Maybe it's me but I've always considered "techno" as a genre of dance...not as the full umbrella of dance music. Electronica is considered a "standalone" term (could be argued as the term that took over "techno") since that style is more on the industrial/experimental side of the music. Dance music, outside of electronica, still has the house, electro, freestyle aspect.

(CANADA, 'spoofing alice deejay/better off alone)...only saw it a few times.
seems, ( back to canada) that future shop uses,
the "riff/sample" of ...usura(?)sp "open your mind"
*?* what about when ( as above) commercials, use
their own-created dance jingle...??

"Heaven" did reeeely well here in the buffalo ny-niagara falls/ontario 'market'
but...i take a moment to ponder this:
how often do we ( dance fans) tick off the urban audience?

...Perhaps, i call every thing from usher,sounds of soul,
will smith,snoop(old/and new), 'slow jams', chris brown, and ying yang twins...

"show off" / show case, z103..5 sat nite, live to aire..
12:37am(sun/or, 'late nite sat nite)....and, its a steady beat...
so, give it a ' minute' / the person started to ask artists, to d/load...
i suggest , atb ( popped up), this girl, ( for descriptive puproses only)
was latino, and was singing the part u can sing too....for 9pm/til i come.
next song, i said to type in: cascada, starting singing "every time we touch"
and same w/ benassi, "satisifaction" *OK* so im impressed....soo, if u luv
this , check out z103, un mute it and....... counter 21:39 ( 21:40) 21:41, etc...
same steady beat...dah-dah-dah-dah, (and not even, like tiesto/traffic,lethal injection),
or...rank 1, or...any thing, she said, yea, that station SUCKs, and said, when its just
a steady beat like that....*blah!* how can u dance to........ - - - - - - - -
she, then started to 'bag' on -dance- and started to search....TI, 'Luda, etc, etc..
and i "lost" her, then z103, was in rotation after 1am, and it was the same ol'
(songs ) that every one else plays...........come on, z103 - step it up!
i did try to save 'face' and say, this is what the club wants to hear, as I explained
the live-2-aire, but...even so, i have been there, at 1:15 or so, and the DJ breaks
out the take a pee,music set - and u see the faithful 8 or so, in bliss, while
the other 100s, make the way to the exit... .... (sorry ) but didnt feel like
starting a new post to this 1.
