Dance radio blog

I'm glad to see this list because this confirms I'm a true dance fan! This list includes various styles of dance music, and I like many of the tracks featured, including the ones that aren't "real" dance! So I guess this means I may not be a real dance fan, but I am a true dance fan, due to my widely diverse taste in the different styles of uptempo hits. I may not always keep it real, but hey, at least I stay true!

It would be nice if they also added Z88.9, 94.5 The Vibe, and Energy 98, but their list is great.

I can see 2 of those 3. Hint: which one of these is NOT like the others? :D

All 3 have their "flaws". Energy 98 sadly isnt available on FM, but only via the net. Thankfully it's getting easier and easier to "tune in" to Energy without a traditional FM/AM radio receiver.
Z-88.9 doesnt's broadcast Dance full time on weekdays, and carries very little Dance programming on the weekends. It's a shame Dance music isn't broadcasted on weeknights between 6 PM-midnight as those would seem like some of the best hours for people to be interested in hearing a "high energy" feel good station. You know, like after they leave work to get them in a happy state of mind going home, then later as they're heading out to spend time with friends and family, going out on the town. I think that's when Dance stations need to be at their best - to give people an uptempo soundtrack to their lives.

Lastly, there's the issue of Vibe 94.5's (serious) signal issues. When they move the transmitter closer to the city of Las Vegas that is when they'll be able to make an impact. Right now it's just a waste of a signal broadcasting to a large desert area where I highly doubt the small population would appreciate an all-Dance format.

Actually its reversed when people want to listen to this genre. We do take care of the drive home and now broadcast all day and night on fridays. People listen to the station at work. Car Dealers have the station on because its upbeat. Ford did a study and it should that upbeat music like dance helps sell.
