Dance remixes on AC stations

Clear Channel's 105.7 WOOD FM in Grand Rapids has recently played some interesting dance remixes of two AC songs:

-A unique remix of "Believe" by Cher that I'd never heard before today
-A unique remix of "Baby Baby" by Amy Grant...also one I'd never heard before

I noticed that these remixes were played between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m., and it doesn't surprise me that they'd just play the normal versions during the day. I guess the station is trying to attract the late night "party crowd". LOL

-A dance mix of "Listen To Your Heart" by DHT
-A dance mix "Heaven" by DJ Sammy

Since the mid '00s or so, these two dance mixes seem to be played somewhat regularly on 105.7.

It just makes me wonder why certain select few dance mixes become staples on AC stations when the stations are far from "dance" stations.

The more conservative of the two ACs where I live goes more uptempo at night. I happened to hear them starting what sounded like Lady Gaga or something.

It was "Turn the Beat Around", which is from the 70s.
