DANCE STATION III

Just thought about this question:
Would a resurgence in dance stations today:

A. HELP Dance music to become more successful in the long run of things and introduce it to a larger audience? or

B. Push the inevitable backlash to come to come even faster?

Should there be dance stations, or electro top 40 stations that play modern hits & various types of electro-pop and dance with underground dance mix and specialty programs?

Many including myself have had the belief on these boards for years that it would be great if a Z-103.5/Toronto sound were to be tested in the States. If not now, when, with all of the uptempo pop on Top 40 radio right now. Would create separation from an in-market CHR just as Rhythmics do. This sound would be a perfect 'gateway' into the Pure Dance format, in the same way that Modern Hits or Modern ACs are great gateways into AAA for instance.
