I tuned in to 820 this past Sunday, and found Daniel Ruth apparently gone. Does anyone know why?

Hmmmm. Could it be that someone in charge has finally realized that just because you "may" have a talent for putting words on paper, it doesn't necessairily translate into entertaining radio?

Hopefully this will spell the beginning of the end of the desperate measures that unmotivated program directors reach to fill air time.

"Oh, people know him! He will be so great on radio...because...he , like, knows ...words...and stuff."

No great loss here.....

I find Ruth quite entertaining, and he sure has the pipes for radio. I dont agree much with what he says, but at least for the most part he's respectful to the other points of view and not a wild lefty that only knows how to call someone names.

Wow, I did not even know he was on the radio anywhere in tampa anymore. I thought it was pretty pathetic that Clear Channel kicked him and Mark Biero off their weekend slots on 970. They were the ONLY liberal voice left on the radio in this market and I thought they were entertaining even if you dont agree with their political POV.

Whilst not a ball of fire on the air, I always found Ruth intelligent and engaging.

After listening to 820 WWBA's sizzling programming for 2 hours over 2 Sunday's, the results are in... Henry Raines is an absolute bore. He makes Dan York sound talented. Bring back Dan Ruth, he wasn't instantly recognizable as a pure-bred moron.

Didnt Raines have some kind of hookup between WWPR and a Dade City or up that way station? I know at this end was the head of the local Democrat party the attorney for Carlie Bruschia's killer. Czaia, I think
