One trade reporting today that Danny's WDYT has been sold. The buyer is Javier Fernandez’s Iglesia Nueva Vida of High Point. The price -$425,000. WDYT has been off the air for several months.

Supposedly, Fernandez will operate WDYT under a time brokerage agreement until closing. He also owns Spanish religious “Radio Nueva Vida” WGOS (1070) in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem market.

So I wonder how much did Danny lose on his little flirtation with AM radio over the past few years?

I read this too but had noticed that 1220 had been playing Spanish for a while now. I am not sure what content was playing as I move the dial past them too fast to note it now. Has this purchase just happned or is the story just now breaking weeks later?
Too bad for WDYT as the premise may have been good, just not strong enough in Charlotte or anywhere east of I77 and the economy didn't help either. What a waste for the 25KW as it never penetrated the metro well.
