DANZIG ON YSP, IGGY ON MMR

These two legends are sluging it out this holiday weekend, the best Rock music ever made is on the airwaves once again in Urbandelphia on two outlets. Its a sad shame after Tuesday its back to the rut in Rapadelphia.

WHO who gives a rats ass, let me say that If I were listening and some jem like a danzig tune or some Iggy Pop came on, I'd do a headstand.
I almost shit myself earlier today when I heard WYSP play Spacehog. these stations play soooooo much Pearl Jam and CHili Peppers that it gets monotonous after a while. Hell, I'd give a bunch if these two stations played some more Bosstones once in a while.

I even hear Matchbook Romance - Monsters! This is how YSP should be.

You poor Philly-ians (or whatever you call yourselves). I hear those bands a least once a week on the radio.
Where do you reside, being so lucky to hear all these neat bands on the radio 24/7/365. Is the station a commercial or college outlet. I agree B.A., YSP is the better Rocker, but I could not believe instead of playing music Monday and the 4th of July, they still had to have this freaken talk. Give it a break, at least on this holiday, put the talk on OGL and Rock on YSP. OGL should be the hot talker and YSP should be the Active Rocker, oldies do well and make money in smaller markets, WVLT and WSOX rate well, and can be the rimshots. No matter how well OGL does, they are not making money, they have a tremendous commercial load to compensate for the low billing. IMHO YSP should rock and OGL should talk and be the Eagles nest.

Oh my god, have you HEARD the people whining on the NY boards about the loss of CBS-FM? If OGL flipped without another viable oldies format in Philly, it would happen all over again. If you think some of the posts on this board are cumbersome, I could only imagine what would happen if another Oldies outlet in a major market shut down.
