It was mentioned before that Darlene Dixon had exited at WLWI...I missed this on R&R but here is the story:

Tiger By The Tail: WLWI/Montgomery, AL MD/middayer Darlene Dixon is leaving after 17 years to join Tiger Broadcasting in Auburn, AL as PD and midday personality of Country WQSI (The Eagle). She will also assist in operations for the six-station cluster. Dixon can be contacted at [email protected]. WQSI currently carries programming from Jones Radio Networks but will soon be going live.

In reality thats a total of 17 years...If I remember correctly she was in Mobile for three years 93' - 96' then with Cat Country 102 in Montgomery from 96' till 99'? So that would mean she was with WLWI from 83 to 93 and 2000 till 2006.

Any word on who is taking her place?
