Daryl Parks OUT at WLW !!!!

I have associated the term "arrogant" a lot when discussing MANY of the on air people in Cincinnati.
You would think that each one of them were the grandsons of Marconi, Armstrong AND Tesla.

I have worked and owned properties in Detroit (when it was market #6) and Chicago. I have NEVER experienced such arrogance as i have in Cincinnati. Some are so full of themselves that it is nauseating.

I truly believe you get far more done in this world by being a decent person than you can by being a jerk. If nothing else, at least at the end of the day you have a smile on your face.

That said, when you work with a bunch of arrogant you-know-whats, nice guys get eaten alive, so maybe it's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy?
 
Well Darryl, now you and I have one more thing in common...we both got punked by Clear Channel! Wear it like I do, as a badge of honor! You had a better run than I did. You are a class act and you WILL land on your feet. Best wishes in your search for a great opportunity. By the way, did they make you turn in your "man card" and your company logo jacket?
 
While listening to Bill Cunningham today I believe I heard him mention that Darryl Parks will start a Saturday morning TV show on WCPO TV 9. Hope it is not one of his "pranks". I enjoyed his show with Sensible Don back in the day and recently even his solo act. Will be interested to see how much leeway WCPO will give him compared to the radio show.

Cunningham wasn't being serious. He was just doing one of his bits for his show to fill air time between calls and commercial breaks.
