This internet station in my opinion gets a 5 Star rating, www.dashradio.com with 80 plus channels including decades. They also have an app available at your app store for Apple and Android or just listen online.

I should also pass this along to the possible new listeners to Dash Radio, All stations are commercial free. It’s sorta like SiriusXM, but totally free.

It's temporary. Similar to when FM stations play 10,000 songs in a row to introduce a new format. There will be commercials once they build the metrics to sell. Right now they're gathering user data, so they have information on what products to sell. Here's the plan, according to the owner:

"We don’t believe in traditional advertising. We think that 30-second spots on radio don’t work. Stats show that consumers tune them out." Instead, the company plans to utilize ads read by the DJs, much like you would hear on a podcast, and limited-run stations that brands can use to market their products. Stations have already been created around EA Sports FIFA, The Grammys, and the upcoming Entourage movie.

I doubt its temporary, they have been doing commercial free for over 6 years now. This is not a new streaming service. They started in 2014.

They're millions of dollars in debt. They need to make money somehow to pay back that debt and pay the music royalties. Nothing is completely free. As the quote said, they're already doing sponsored channels, similar to what Sirius does.

Where’s the proof that Dash is millions in debt. I want to see numbers or is this just rumor. Please back up your statement. As long as it‘s a quality product the commercial thing is minor.

Here's a link to the story about $8.8 million in funding from investment firms and loans:

Those investors expect to get paid back at some point. Where will they get the money if everything is free?

The article sounds positive and they could have a great future, and if they have to eventually air commercials or even charge a monthly fee that’s fine with me. As long as their product is of good quality, I have no problem paying a monthly fee. Thanks for the read, I see the article is dated October 24th 2018 so this not new information, Apparently they must be doing fairly well considering that is roughly a year and a half ago. Mostly all broadcasting platforms are hurting for whatever reason, covid did not help things. Again,Thanks for the read.
