I'm kind of surprised no one has posted anything about the Dave 92.9 Call to Auction promotion that is currently ongoing.

The hype is a bit extraneous, granted, but in this world of 200 song playlists, the stuff that they are playing is very refreshing. Rapper's Delight, David Allen Coe, and the "Ramblin' Wreck" Georgia Tech fight song, plus a bunch of stuff I've never heard of.

I think they should call it a format and stick to it.
 
They will play any song you request. They charged based on the type of song and if they have to edit it. I went to their Kick-off concert Monday. RoberT Randolph at Center Stage and they did a very good job at that. They said yesterday between songs bought and auction items they collected $23,000. Already today one person bid $10,000 to get two passes to all of the Circle of Friends shows next year. They 22 of them this year.

It is a great effort they are putting forth. Their goal this year is to raise $100,00 for Atlanta's Habitat for humanity.
