Dave Dillon New PD at JACK FM

He has been here before, where? The name is familar.

Dave was never at mix - he was at KODA and transformed it from a sleepy elevator music station into a more contemporary bright A/C. I believe he was the PD at KODA when they initiated "Sunny". I do think that Dave's knowledge of the music Jack plays is probably limited. If he's good - he'll get it fast, but I think Jack is dead in the water to start with. It really doesn't matter what they play on that move-in frequency.

That's right. That's what I was was thinking of.

Dave will do just fine.
He ushered in the Sunny format and moved into master programming guru for several corporate enities. The Jack format ain't rocket science, he will pick up on it through the research. Working for a programmer, Pat Fant should make this a good decision by Cumulus.

Dave left KOSI in Denver #1. He built Sunny 99.1 through the early years into a rock solid performer through smart tactical programming and marketing. And that station is still enjoying the fruits of his labor with the man who replaced him (and was hired by him) at the helm, Marc Sherman. And that's the kind of talent that will maximize JACK's success with the facility they have. He'll flank all pop stations - he knows how.

IF IT WEREN'T FOR DAVE DILLON THAT HIRED ME IN ALLENTOWN AND WENT THROUGH MY AIRCHECKS TO LOOK FOR THE FLY POOP IN THE PEPPER...I WOULD HAVE NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO BETTER MYSELF AND GET GIGS IN PHILA AND DC. THANK YOU DAVE....YOU ARE NOT ONLY THE BEST PD I EVER WORKED FOR...BUT THE MOST DOWN TO EARTH AND HELPFUL TEACHER I EVER HAD. JACK EM UP AND KILL THE COMPETITION AS I KNOW YOU WILL!!!!!

Todd...Not only was Q-100, Allentown one helluva a great station Dave programmed, so were EZ104 in Richmond and 97WAIV in Jacksonville prior to Dave's success with Sunny 99.1. As for the "rimshot" argument, 100,000 watt FM's on flat terrain like Texas go forever. I remember visiting Dave in Florida and listening to 97WAIV loud, clear and in stereo well over 100 miles from Jacksonville. So KHJK's signal should be no problem. Good luck my friend!

Jack is not dead. Remember The Point!

Dave will most likely be doing more than Jack. Hint!
