Success? Not a success?

Strikes me as a B-98/Lite concept: please listen at work and please listen during weekends, but we're not going to spend much on jocks or the morning show and we're not going to get you in the car.

Overall ratings are generally flat from the Z-93 era. Station isn't really growing. 25-54 was up 20% in last book, but mornings were flat. 18-34 is up but is that the listener they want? Are 25-year-old guys digging Dave? Strikes me as interesting that Bandy & Bailey had a better summer book (relatively) than All-Access and got canned.

I personally like the music and think Dave is really on to something as a concept, but I wonder if a Dave Marino-type would do just as well in mornings. I believe he could be persuaded to return.

Well they can't go back to Classic Rock again because 96Rock has taken over that format officially and is doing well with it. Dave has a unique format and I believe needs to stay where they are at.

I don't know why they even changed the name. This is still Z-93, only not the Z-93 of my youth that had Steve McCoy in the mornings, or the Z-93 of 1999 that at least had an interesting Sunday night show (The Dunhams). It's just...adult soft classic contemporary rock.<P ID="signature">______________

Makes all the difference in the world, and you ought to feel downright warm and fuzzy about it.
