The domain 93freefm.com was registered in January. Opie & Anthony have signed for 4 more stations, but only 2 markets have been named so far. One is Detroit. Doesn't that leave Atlanta as the largest market without a Free FM station? What other large markets does CBS have a station in at either 92.9 or 93.1?I don't think Dave makes it through the year.

93.3 KC (not likely)92.9 and 93.7 Buffalo93.7 Pittsburgh (LIKELY candidate)92.9 MemphisNo "Free FM" in Houston

CBS is selling its Memphis properties, so 92.9 there is unlikely. WBUF (92.9) in Buffalo went Jack last year so I see that one as unlikely too.

O and A announced Columbus, Rochester, Washington DC, and Detroit. Citadel is also looking to add O and A to a handfull of their markets. Should be interesting to see who flips to Fm talk first, Dave, or 96rock. I heard that Clear Channel wants to pull the trigger before Dave does! And they've been researching it HEAVY.

Hope Dave stays AAA (or whatever it is). The station is suffering because the morning show gives it no momentum. If they can fix that, the rest of the day will shine...Has anyone noticed that Mara is a lot more free-wheeling now? Her breaks (which I like) are all over the place. You can tell someone told her to go back to her old self. Radio Free Lunch is the funniest hour on Atlanta radio. And, no, I'm not Mara and nor are we friends.

Thanks, I have XM. Atlanta needs Opie and Anthony in the morning with Toucher and Rich in afternoon drive. T&R debuts this monday on the rock of Boston - WBCN.

If CC does it, it better not be like the disaster known as Real Radio.

Yes, I caught most of Tim's show tonight. It was great hearing him again. Hopefully things work out there, I think he will bring something different to Dave. He has a great energy and is a lot of fun to listen to. According to his MySpace, tonight was an audition and if all goes well, he will be on weekends regularly and will fill-in when needed. I'd love to hear him full-time again, but it seems he is holding out to do a show with Southside (which I'd love to hear again too). On the talk thing- I don't see CC starting up a talk station. Oddly, I was listening to 96rock last night around 3am and they played Faith Hill's "This Kiss". That was a scare, thankfully it only lasted that one song.

Faith Hill on 96??? That is odd even for 3am! I hope that they don't switch DAVE to Free. I agree that the morning show is lame, but the rest of the day is great. Including Sully on the overnight. I also think they need to let their talent loose a little more, and open up the playlist more!As for Toucher, and Rich... I'm betting they don't last.

Heck, I'd like to hear Don Imus back on the radio in Atlanta again. I like him on MSNBC and watch every day.IMUS???? You can barely understand that old washed up fart. Just watch him and his Howdy Doody cowboy hat in MSNBC. The "I Man"...what a joke.

hEY.. 96 ATL, are you sure you heard faith hill on 96? it could have been kicks. also.. are you really a southside fan? did you work with him?????

Yes, Faith Hill really was played on 96.1 the other night. It was tracked by yes.com, but not by the tracker at 96rock.com. I guess it was either a mistake or random joke. They went right back into classic rock after that song. BTW, I'm really enjoying 96rock overnights these days- they're playing quite a few deeper cuts and lots of songs that aren't played non-stop during the day on 96 or on 97.1 (Faith Hill not included).I always enjoyed listening to Southside & Rhodes. I did not work with them and I don't know them.

Frankly, I don't care who they put on there. It is just nice to hear an actual damn LIVE personality in overnights. Speaking of almost live--how are Kelly & Alpha doing?

96rock is voice tracked everynight, and every overnight! Unless there's a Braves game. Big Rig does nights from Tampa, and English Nick tracs it during the day. They haven't had a live jock after dark in 5 years or more. However DaveFm is live in every day part.

Most likely there was a song in the same number now used by Faith (and it was played - verified on Mediabase). Or something new in Selector with the wrong number (typo, etc.).A country station in my building played a classic rock song over the weekend the same way.

does it really matter if it's tracked? does that help ratings? i listened last night and i it sounded like there was some english guy in there? they played some great stuff like meatloaf, war pigs.. sounding pretty good!
