Dave Gillen

How can some of you people be so out of touch! I don't mean to be critical. But to anyone in this business, Dave Gillen is quite visible as president of the Buffalo Broadcasters Association. Anyway, in answer to your question, Dave is doing sales for WIVB, Channel 4. But more importantly, he's providing incredible leadership of the the Buffalo Broadcasters Association. The organization, under Dave, is making great strides in digitizing news film from the '60s and '70s from local TV stations. The Hall of Fame event is bigger and better than ever. I think most of us know who and where DG is, P_A, we were just worried about answering the question and giving him up to a poster with a handle like "scotty t. For all we know, somebody might have been calling in a favor. Those former club d-j's make radio d-j's appear downright respectable. Well, almost.

element has some good points to make. between downright and somewhat respectable! Ha! he was selling when i was as my handle suggests, hanging on the 13th floor of the Rand. It was a pretty basic inquiry (for example, poster could have asked if DG was still active in BBA)I knew Dave was very much in the Buffalo Broadcaster Association and i have lots of respect for the gentleman.

I think that E9 is being a little paranoid.

Now, if the inquiry had come a little closer to Father's Day...

??? Is this the same Gentleman that used to tell people to come on down to some night club on Saturday nights durring the Saturday night retro mix on Q102 back in 1994??

I think the place was called Facinations. (?)

He did a good job! (and Pete Berini was a very good host for that program too...)
