Dave impresses...

I'll be the first to admit that Dave FM has never impressed me, well, not until this past weekend forward.

The imagining, and IMO handle, still needs a major retooling - however, with a new PD in the saddle they have already addressed the first "fix" that was sorely needed - the music.

They have quietly done stealth tweaking that makes Dave worlds more listenable than just two weeks ago. From a tunes and flow standpoint, it honestly sounds about as good as any AAA I've ever listened to around the country.

IF they can somehow remove the tarnish left behind and get the core target to (re)sample them, they may still have a shot at being seriously viable in the mix, IMO.

I do with they'd do something about their site, though. Something that really bugs me about any web site with banner ads: the total disorientation of them all. It's just messy and looks poorly maintained.

First of All Dave Impresses....Really?

Second their website is the least of their concerns.

My sources tell me that a new morning show may not be off the table. (Right now the phones in Indy and Macon are smoking.)

Undoubtedly....I'm pretty sure that's case with 95% of the radio stations in the US.
