Even though ratings are not favorable, pay close attention to Dave kelly, he is a star. The WOLF will win. Entravision, back him up.

And the imaging prod... it is AMAZING! We should all find out who handles it and get those people to do ours! Are you with me?!

hey chadd... i take it you are responsible for the imaging there?? if i could stand country music for more than a minute, id check it out....

BTW chadd.... the imaging position is open @ live 105.....

I have been listening for a few months now, for sure a change from Pat & Tom. It seems they are leaning towards the "young & hip....and funny?" show? Where P&T are concrete on the show they have been doing here since my frisco days ;D P&T are THE country morning show in town, it will be hard for the wolf to nurse:) its way to the top.

BUT:

Just about every business I walk into these days has the wolf on. Now Im not starting a pissing match here but the wolf is sounding good and ol mark had better keep his eye on them ;)
 
The Wolf just plain SOUNDS better than KNCI. The Wolf has a very un-fatigueing punchy sound while KNCI sounds flat and lifeless. When they occasionally play the same song at the same time, punch back and forth. They almost don't sound like they are playing the same song sometimes.

Although, KNCI recently did some work on their sound, they still don't sound anywhere as good as the Wolf. Or as loud. Kudos to the Wolf engineers! Apparently, Entravision doesn't spare any expense on good engineers and audio. Too bad none of that trickles down to air staff.

I cannot comment on how the Wolf sounds until they stream online but from the looks of the logo it looks good to listen to.
 
I doubt the Wolf will ever stream online, they have been on the air for a few years now and nothing! As far as Dave Kelly goes, he holds his ground on the air. Pat and Tom have 20 years of cement here and it will be tough for anyone to beat them. I do on the other hand feel he stands a chance given that Entravision gives the show a chance. Lets do the math, KNCI 17 years, Pat and Tom mornings many years together. 101.9 the Wolf 2 years, Dave Kelly maybe a year tops(I didnt begin listening until about 4 months ago). He is solid and sounds fun, thats the key, if he can keep that up then maybe we will see a change in country in Sac.

I have the pleasure of doing the news for Dave and Susan. I think the dynamic between them is great for the show....she's the counterpoint to his point. I'm not sure if they REALLY disagree about some of the things you hear them talk about on the air, but it does make for a good show
 
In my opinion, for what it's worth, The WOLF is MUCH better than KNCI. The imaging IS good, great sound, etc., echoing other comments. I would only listen to KNCI if I needed something to cure my borderline insomnia...
 
No doubt the Wolf's popularity seems to be increasing throughout the Valley. Which might be the reason I've seen KNCI make some appearances on Good Day Sac...

Not saying that GDS is an end all...but it's the closest to advertising I've seen KNCI do in a while. And I'm sure it doesn't hurt
 
Good Day wont help them, they have been in this market for so long that if someone doesnt know about them odds are they are not gonna listen anyway. KNCI has almost 20 years of Sacramento to credit to the stations advertising. If the Dave and the Wolf are in fact catching up then KNCI needs to step it up and be more fun and not so...well...KNCI'ish

With them being so high up on the food chain for so long I hope Dave does "chew away" at them.
 
As stated...............the Wolf is an oncoming station.............the whole group of DJ's are doing a great job.........they are innovative ......a keep you interested.....I love the contests.......if nothing else they keep you on your toes......with the latest info and events...Go Kelly, Go Susan, Go Catfish.....and yes of course go Dave w/Susan.........

The Wolf started streamin' online in mid-September at 1019thewolf.com. Web hits doubled for October and since when they started streamin'! Way to go Dave Kelly and the Wolf!
 
I noticed The Wolf had an ad running for Weekend Talent. Looks like they have plenty...unless somebody is leaving.
 
i noticed knci replaced many of their beds with more modern ones. their old ones sounded like they were from the early 90s.

i'm surprised that they made the cutbacks on staff with the wolf making so many changes.
