Dave Koz Radio Show (weekly) moves to Dial Global from BA

WQJZ in Ocean City, MD (former Jones affiliate) carried the weekend Dave Koz radio show for years on Saturday nights from 6:00PM to 8:00PM (can't speak for the other Jones affiliates). I actually thoroughly enjoyed the show before it started to stray to the dark side. Not sure what it means, but it is certainly worth watching.

This has nothing to do with BA but is a simple change in the company that gets national advertising for the show and then sends it out to the stations that air it. Dave's show has been around for much longer than the network he now cuts voice tracks for. Dial-Global is the 800 pound gorilla when it comes to this kind of thing and it gives them something in the SJ arena now that the Jones network has been buried (RIP). I'm a little surprised that Crystal Media Networks (good people from my limited experience) let that go because what they have left is Chill with Mindi Abair (very nice show but better with Chris Botti as host) and Smartjock (how's that working?). Maybe they're getting out of the "instrumental" business? Or maybe it was just bidness and they couldn't counter offer DG? Likely the latter.

Dial Global and BA negotiated the deal for BA to take over the Jones affiliates after Dial/Global bought Jones which would indicate that Dial Global and BA are business partners to some extent. This brings Koz under that umbrella, doesn't show a chink in BA's armor at all. BA might also be working on establishing something for themselves for the future of their network since they are owned by Clear Channel, which is not a very stable company right now.
