He (Dave) will start on Monday, January 10, 2011 and will be heard weeknights six through nine pst.

I didn't know where to post this, so I thought I would put it here. With that being said, ...

Looks like KIFM (in San Diego) is a now BA Smooth Jazz Network station, by the information listed in their "Staions" profile, ...

http://www.smoothjazznetwork.com/wheretolisten.html

What does this mean? Are all BA network stations simulcasted? Or do they just have a set playlist and/or someone overseeing what gets added?

I just looked at KIFM's playlist...and in the past few hours they played Colbie Caillat and Maroon 5. KIFM, how the mighty have fallen... :-\

like I said, decent instrumentals, vocals not so much...but they are still listing all local air talent on their website. I don't even see that they run BAs top 20 countdown. Perhaps the info on the BA website is...errr..inacccurate

OK-here's what I don't understand-If BA has taken down the whole format why would a station like KIFM sign on with them?
Baffling

This was posted on KIFM's facebook page:

Smooth Jazz 98.1 - KIFM Dear Joseph-Adding Koz is not the start of KIFM taking a "syndicated path." He is actually doing this show specifically for us and we're thrilled to have his talents and behind-the-scenes perspective on our station. I will continue to pro...gram KIFM locally and play the music that our fans want to hear. I appreciate your concern and invite you to contact me for more information, if you feel the need. My direct line is 619-718-xxxx Thanks and have a great day!
